AN/GRC-3 radio-US M48 90mm Gun Tank

The AN/GRC-3 radio is illustrated in this picture (the GRC-3 through 8 were typically used in the early M48s) with a protective cage keeping stray ejected shell casings from hitting the exposed face.
 Most of the components are identified for you here. Part of the radio installation was the typical intercom system that allowed the tank commander to communicate with his crew.
An extension kit to this intercom ended in a telephone protected in an armored box on the rear armor plate of the tank, through which infantry could communicate with the tankers inside.
